Here are some new candid photos of Lily Allen looking lovely, leaving her home in London wearing the same clothes as the night before. She’s also sporting a new hair cut with a brand new fringe, of which I love.

Lily Allen has recently lost almost 1st in weight and friends say it’s because she’s quit drinking.

‘Lily’s really turned her back on drink and drugs in favour of just chilling out with what she calls her “real pals”,’ a close friend tells Now.

‘Quitting drinking is the main reason she’s lost so much weight. Lily says she’ll always be a yo-yo dieter and there’s nothing she can do about it.

‘She looks great now, but the pressure to be slim and the focus on her weight really gets to her at times.’

Instead of partying, Lily, 23, is spending time with her mum Alison, dad Keith and brother Alfie, 22.

‘Part of her plan now is to stay close to her family,’ the friend adds.

‘Lily’s done a lot of growing up in the past few months.’

Lily Allen wants to become an actress.

Lily is presently preparing for the release of her second album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ in February, but friends say she’s also been asking her father, actor Keith Allen, about pursuing a new career path.

A source close to Lily, 23, said: “She thinks it might get her out of the spotlight, which is what she has found hard to cope with, even though film or TV roles will hardly be low-profile. She says the next six months will be the most important of her life. She is getting some control back.”

In the past year, Lily suffered a miscarriage before splitting with her boyfriend, Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons.

Friends say Lily longs for stability in her life and is ready to move on from her painful past.

The source said: “Lily’s done a lot of growing up in the past few months. She says fame has stunted her as a human being and she’s determined to sort herself out.”

Lily’s brother, Alfie Allen, 22, is also an actor.

He appeared in ‘Atonement’ and took over from ‘Harry Potter’ actor Daniel Radcliffe in a touring theatre production of ‘Equus’.

Lily was seen out with Lindsay Lohan and her rumoured girlfriend Samantha Ronson on Thursday night, the 13th of November 2008. They were seen partying in a number of different famous London clubs, including the ‘best club in London’, club ‘Dolce’. Click the thumbnails below to see the pictures.

Stars including Leona Lewis, Hayden Panettiere and Lily Allen were among those honoured at the 2008 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York.

The Glamour magazine event, held in Manhattan on November 10, saw Lewis crowned best U.K. Solo Artist, while Heroes star Panettiere was hailed as Newcomer of the Year.

Other celebrities to receive a nod at the ceremony included actress Kate Beckinsale who was presented with the Best Film Actress award, supermodel Kate Moss, who was named Entrepreneur of the Year, and Mark Ronson, crowned Man of the Year.

Laura White’s departure from the X Factor on Saturday came to a shock to the whole nation, and it even left Lily convinced to take to her blog about the situation. Lily wrote on her official MySpace page:

‘Right, i think we were all a little shocked right? Laura didn’t deserve to go in my opinion , neither did Ruth(my personal favourite). I’ve been left feeling quite upset by the whole of tonights show. I can not believe that week after weak, Daniel the pool man is still in, people are quite mad , I’m sure.’

Lily continued to talk about Diana’s illness, and how she thinks Diana should perform a Mariah Carey song this Saturday out of respect for her close friend Laura.

‘Now, I don’t know what people think on here, and I understand that she was ill, but out of respect to Laura, I think Diana Vickers should have to sing a Mariah Carey song next week , i’m sure she’s capable of rising to the challenge, I just don’t think it’s fair otherwise. Everyone needs to be judged in the same way or the whole thing becomes meaningless. Let me know your thoughts ………………..lily x’
