TV presenter Fiona Phillips has suggested that Kelly Osbourne or Lily Allen should replace her on the sofa on GMTV.

47-year-old Phillips, who recently announced her departure from the programme after 12 years, said ITV should hire someone young to take her place on the breakfast show.

Speaking in Hello magazine: “I hear that Kelly Osbourne has been given odds of 50 to one. I’d certainly like to see her. Or maybe Lily Allen? They could install a crate of champagne in the green room and let her loose!”

She continued: “They don’t need some knackered old warhorse – not wishing to do down my 40-something female colleagues.”

The presenter decided to leave in order to dedicate more time to her children and her elderly father. Her final episode is due to air in December.

Lily’s finally revealed her new album release date via myspace blogging! Here’s what she had to say:

“My new album will be released on the 9th of Feb 2009. I know it’s a while away, but there will be bits and bobs flying around before then, I’m shooting a video(for viral release) in the next couple of weeks , to keep you entertained .

I am so excited, were getting all the artwork and stuff done and coming up with new and interesting ideas. I am trying really hard to do this album with integrity and I want you all to know that it has been thought about by me, not just some thrown together last minute industry bullshizz.

I hope you’ll all love it as much as I do, I’m working on extra stuff in the studio at the moment , it seems making an album isn’t enough these days, some websites (not naming any!) wont put an album on their front page unless you give them exclusive tracks, not that i’m complaining, I am at my happiest in the studio so it works well for me, I just don’t want to put out sub standard stuff . I always thought an album was a body of work in itself. you take it or leave it . You wouldn’t say to a painter “yeah i love the naked ladies ,but would you mind painting their hair blonde instead of brown, and making their tits a bit bigger?” or ” the trees are really pretty, a few more leaves perhaps?” Maybe you would actually , ha ha .”

Lily Allen has recorded a new song with Wiley, which is set to appear on the UK grime stars next album.

Wiley revealed that he has wanted to work with Allen ever since he heard her 2006 debut album ‘Alright, Still’.

“It was weird ’cos when I listened to it I used to sit there giggling thinking this girl’s cool. But then I realised she wasn’t just cool, she’d sold a million records,” he told the Daily Star.

“I respected her even more after that. The track we’ve done is a scorcher. This is the way I want to go.

“I want to push boundaries but I want to stay in the charts by making tunes that connect with people. It’s pop all the way from here.”

Wiley has also been working in the studio with producer Mark Ronson, who he performed with at festivals during the summer.

“Working with Mark Ronson was cool. There are a few trumpets on the track but it’s not brass overload,” he said.

Lily’s posted a new blog on her myspace @ myspace.com/lilymusic. It was posted about a week ago on the 13th, only a short one:

“I am loving my new Blackberry Bold. You can send voice notes on blackberry messenger which is quite fun , like talking to someone without actually talking to them (whatever next ?) I know it’s slightly sacriligious to say so here, but you can have a Facebook application on your blackberry. And it has sudoku. sorry to nerd out, but i thought i’d share.”
