Sting, Elton John and Lily Allen have all been honoured for their songwriting by the US music industry.
The ceremony which took place in London on Tuesday, 5th October saw Lily Allen winning a gong for her number one single “The Fear” and Sting for the Police track Every Breath You Take, which has been played more than 10 million times.
Elton John won trophies for his classic hits, “Your Song” and “Crocodile Rock”. Both tracks have been played eight million and six million times respectively.



Lily Allen is a 25 year old singer-songwriter currently living in London. She is the child of actor Keith Allen and film-producer Alison owen. Lily grew up in London surrounded by alot of musical influences, which later lead to a very successful career in music.
She spent years trying to get into the music industry and finally did in 2006 when she released her debut album
