Lily Allen will visit a therapist for a new TV show. The Not Fair singer – who previously had counselling to help her to deal with the grief of the miscarriage she suffered in anuary 2008 – will open her heart to Professor Laurie Taylor for a new Sky Arts 1 show, In Confidence, where she will discuss her difficult past.
The professor claims the therapy session with Lily makes for “uncomfortable viewing”, but says there are aspects of the celebrity sessions which will touch on “moments of joy and tragedy, and the strengths and flaws that have defined their lives.”
The 24-year-old singer – who recently claimed she is giving up music for at least two years – previously admitted she had struggled with problems in her personal life over the last ten years.
She said: “On a personal level, my miscarriage was a horrible moment. And then there were the several breakdowns that I had.
“I’d say I’ve had three this century, which isn’t great. There was one when I was 18 and I went into The Priory rehab clinic. I’ve had two really low points since then.”
Other stars who have signed up to be scrutinised on the TV series include comic Kathy Burke and artist Damien Hurst.
Watch the unrelenting close-up of In Confidence every Tuesday at 10pm from April 6th on Sky Arts 1/HD.
