We are so excited to bring you the news that Lily’s new TV show ‘Lily Allen: From Riches To Rags’ will begin on Tuesday 15th March 2011 at 10pm on UK TV Channel 4! Here is the description of the first episode. Keep checking LilyFan for the latest news on this topic!

The first programme of the series joins Lily backstage at The O2 Arena on the final night of her tour.

Tired of life on the road she has announced she is quitting touring in favor of a quieter life, and wants to realize another dream – opening a vintage shop. Along with her half sister Sarah, a total business novice, Lily plans on making couture and vintage pieces available to those who may not be able to afford such luxury items in an innovative clothes store where customers can hire or buy one-off designer garments.

They set out transforming Lily’s office into the base for their business. But all they have is the name – Lucy in Disguise – and an idea.

To make up for their lack of experience and transform their dream for the shop into a viable business Sarah and Lily hire Jess Morris as their brand director. With 15 years in the fashion industry under her belt Jess has worked for the likes of Agent Provocateur and Vivienne Westwood, and it’s her job to help them find the right shop in the right place with the right stock.

While Lily is easily carried away spending her hard earned money on amazing one off items, Sarah is tasked with sorting out the company finances as she undergoes a crash course in business management to try and devise a budget for the project.

They start splashing the cash on couture fashion for stock but receive some home truths about their plans from retail guru Mary Portas after a focus group is unsure about the shop’s concept and prices.

Tensions between the sisters are running high as Sarah tries to take financial control of the business. Lily talks openly about the rift in their relationship when they were younger, and reveals how her slim figure the press raved about in 2009 was the result of an unhealthy relationship with food.

Lily Allen’s ‘In The Name Of’ record label has been awarded financial backing from music giant Sony.
Lily Allen’s record label has won backing from Sony.
The 25-year-old ‘Not Fair’ singer’s ‘In The Name Of’ company has been signed up by the music giant, who will reportedly pay her a £100,000 salary and give her money to set up an office and hire staff, while one of the company’s own A&R talent scouts will help her sign acts.
The singer has been working on establishing her label since 2009, when she also announced she would take a break from recording her own music, adding she wanted to set up her own label as she was disillusioned with the music industry.
She said: ”I’m setting up a record label at the moment, getting involved in lots of different things.
”I think things need to change in the music industry and we need to rethink a lot of stuff.”
Lily has already signed hotly tipped New York duo Cults, who have been courted by a number of high profile labels since they hit the music scene last year.
Sony is one of the biggest music labels in the world with acts including Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Kesha, Kings Of Leon and Michael Jackson.
Since her retirement from recording, Lily has become engaged to her boyfriend Sam Cooper and set up and opened clothing hire shop Lucy In Disguise with her half-sister Sarah Owen.

Lily Allen is taking legal action against the Daily Mail for an online article that featured pictures of her home.

The article, which was published by the paper’s Mail Online website in September, ran with the headline: “Pregnant Lily spends £3m on stunning Cotswold home.”

The singer has taken legal action alleging invasion of privacy for running shots of the home as well infringement of copyright for the images used.

“We have today issued proceedings on behalf of Lily Allen against Associated Newspapers [Daily Mail's parent company] for copyright infringement and breach of confidence,” said law firm Atkins Thomson, which is acting for Allen, in a statement. “This action is in relation to an article published in the Mail Online on 14 September 2010.”

In October, Allen won damages against French sports magazine So Foot over an article that falsely alleged she called Victoria Beckham a “monster” and the X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole, “stupid and superficial”.

In September 2009, she received £10,000 in damages and an apology from the Sun for repeating some claims made in the same So Foot article.

Lily spoke out on Twitter earlier today regarding a article posted on the Daily Mail’s website concerning rumours that she and Sam were due to get married early next year. Lily said “Katie Nicholl I THINK you’re a c*nt, leave me out of your shitty column, you know nothing about the intimate details of my life. theres a time and a place for your musings where i’m concerned, and it’s not now.” The article comes at a particularly sensitive time for both Lily and Sam, and is very insensitive to post something like this when no one knows the facts. It’s not the first time this journalist has posted an article including wrong details to with Lily’s life, a few months ago the journalist claimed Lily had deleted all her famous friends numbers from her phone as she concentrated on settling down. We just hope she gets her facts right before posting another article like this.
