British rapper Professor Green has dedicated a song on his new album to pal Lily Allen, thanking the singer for helping launch his music career after he suffered a bout of depression.
The hip-hop star toured with the Smile hitmaker in 2009 and they later collaborated on his 2010 track Just Be Good to Green.
The star is thankful for Allen’s support as his career was taking off and reveals on Today I Cried, which features on his new album At Your Convenience, the singer gave him a boost when he was at rock bottom.
He raps, “Lily came along when I was at my lowest, I made it and I owe it to a chat I had with her.”

I bought a sewing machine this morning. It’s a Janome JP720. I got it from the John Lewis website. Of course. According to the blurb, it’s small in size but big on features. A bit like me. It’s also fully computerised, has an automatic needle threader (crucial, that bit, as my fellow machinists will know), a maximum speed controller, a needle up/down feature and lock-stitch facility. David Jones has announced that it is adding an extra 60 brands to shelves, including a number of celebrity designer labels.

As some of you who have followed us for many years will know, I’ve ran multiple fansites in the past based on Amy Winehouse, and I’ve always thought of her, along with Lily, as one of my favourite artists. Amy was such a beautiful soul and will be terribly missed by me and many others, her death only confirms her legacy and her music and spirit will live on forever. I love you.

Lily: “Its just beyond sad, there’s nothing else to say. She was such a lost soul, may she rest in peace.”
